Who We Are:

Since 2001, The Boone Hospital Foundation has provided support that directly improves patient care at Boone Health and in our 28-county service area of central Missouri.  We continue to accomplish this by providing support for patient and staff services at Boone Health and through Boone Health's outreach programs.  

Ways We Partner with Boone Health:

We help provide enhanced patient care, advanced technology, community benefit programs and staff education. Other examples of previous and ongoing projects include:

-Scholarships and training opportunities to foster growth within our Boone workforce to help ensure top-level care from the most prepared caregivers

-Providing therapeutic massages to hundreds of post-stroke, post surgical and ante-partum patients that help them heal

-Empowering those who require rehabilitation but can't afford it to receive therapies that improve their lives

-Assisting Therapy Services in the establishment and scholarship of the Fit for Delivery course for expectant mothers, focusing on improving outcomes for moms and their newborns. We also provide fee coverage for patients who cannot otherwise participate in outpatient therapies like cardiac rehabilitation

-Support to renovate and update comfort care rooms and areas in the NICU for patients and their families

-Providing those patients with no means to pay, the needed discharge medications to continue healing at home

-And much more!!!!

Projects we are currently working on:

We hate bringing bad news during this festive time of year.  But it is important.

• Did you know that on average over 30% of the people who get their A1C tested at Boone Community Wellness screening events get results indicating Type II diabetes or pre-diabetes? 1 in 3 people. That is a staggering statistic.  And the Community Wellness team at Boone Health screens and tests thousands of our friends and neighbors each year.
• Untreated diabetes can cause severe complications including heart disease, stroke, nerve damage, and kidney failure.  Not so surprising is that these complications can be deadly.  That is why it is important to get screened.
• The very good news is that Boone Hospital Foundation helps hundreds of people to get this test for free each year.  The more people we can test, the more we can help guide them to better health.  
• This is where you come in. Your gifts to the Boone Hospital Foundation via CoMO Gives directly support our Community Wellness efforts.  
• A gift of $150 will provide A1c test kits for 5 people.  Gifts of any amount help with wellness screenings, test supplies, specialized equipment for the Mobile Health Unit and AED training equipment to train community members how to help others in cardiac crisis.
