Cedar Creek Therapeutic Riding Center

Cedar Creek serves individuals with special needs and Veterans by harnessing the powerful connection between horses and humans to enhance quality of life. Each year, more than 200 riders with disabilities come through our gates, supported by over 300 dedicated volunteers who help make every ride a safe, joyful, and transformative experience.

Therapeutic riding at Cedar Creek nurtures physical strength, cognitive development, emotional regulation, and social confidence—often achieving breakthroughs that traditional therapies struggle to reach. In our peaceful outdoor environment, horses become true therapeutic partners. Their movement, responsiveness, and calming presence allow riders to build skills, trust, and independence in ways that feel more like joy than therapy.

The results are remarkable: 94% of our riders report an improvement in overall quality of life, and families consistently share stories of newfound communication, confidence, balance, and connection. Supporting Cedar Creek is one of the most direct, meaningful ways to impact the lives of people with special needs in our community.

• $160 provides a scholarship match, ensuring a rider can participate in an 8-week session.
