Your donations fund our free community programs including health, education, and cultural community events. 

Centro Latino's ongoing health programming focuses on providing food full of vegetables and fruits to the community as well as creating a movement of positivity and support on the corner of Garth & Lynn St. with a new native garden, bilingual pop-up medical clinics with MedZou. Fresh food is incorporated into all Centro Latino's efforts including  Apple-a-Day, Veggie Friendly Kids Meals, Veggie Friendly Kids in the Kitchen, Conversacion y Comida (Conversation & Food), and our commercial kitchen has hosted new, local entrepreneurs and is now home to Gina's Vegan A Go Go! food truck that makes plant-based meals available in mid-Missouri. 

Our Education programs include the After School Program where grade school students complete their homework and study with volunteer tutors from local colleges & universities. English classes are offered free of charge.

Over the past 24 years, Centro Latino has hosted many celebrations from holidays to birthday parties! Our favorite part is that the community comes together from start to finish to make each event happen. Starting with the big idea and following through with the motivation to connect coordinators and volunteers, plan the event, buy the ingredients and supplies, prepare the food, set up the dining and dancing rooms, take orders, serve plates, bus tables, clean up the kitchen, take photos & remember to post them, WOW! There's nothing like the feeling of a bunch of volunteers coming into the kitchen and making tamales together <3
