Helping Others Read to Succeed

Many of us take reading for granted - being able to read instructions, fill out job applications and help our children with their homework. 

But 6% of adults in Boone County lack those literacy skills and struggle with many daily tasks.

Adult literacy is a pressing need in our community, and at the Daniel Boone Regional Library, we’re taking action. In 2025, the library plans to introduce an adult literacy program called Read to Succeed that will provide personalized tutoring and resources to help adults improve their reading and writing skills, unlocking new opportunities for their personal and professional growth.

Right now, there aren’t any adult literacy programs in our area. Your donation will go toward setting up the Read to Succeed program in our community and helping our struggling friends and neighbors.
