$10,000 Goal

After 50 years of successful operation, the Dental Aid Program will operate as the KINGS DAUGHTERS DENTAL AID FUND, managed by The Community Foundation of Central Missouri!

The Kings Daughters Dental Aid Program started in 1974 with just $1700 raised selling brooms.  Over time the program flourished, providing dental care for over 100 eligible CPS students per year, in cooperation with school district nurses and staff, parents, local dentists, and our dedicated members who provided transportation.

This year the program widened its scope. The new Kings Daughters Dental Aid Fund will allow increased access to children, and expand to include young adults needing dental care.  The Kings Daughters Dental Aid Fund will serve eligible individuals between the ages of 5 and 22 in the Boone County area, not just the Columbia School District. Service agencies in the Boone County area will be able to apply for grants to fund dental care for their clients.

Though access to dental insurance and MC+ has improved for some, there are still children and young adults who surprisingly cannot afford dental care. Good oral health is a gift that can last a lifetime.  Freedom from tooth pain or infection can keep a student in the classroom learning and it can keep a young adult on the job while taking classes at a local college.  Please be generous and help give someone a smile by donating to KD Dental Aid Fund.
