Museum Associates Inc

Museum Associates is a not-for-profit corporation founded for the purpose of helping provide financial support to the Museum of Art and Archaeology’s educational programs, publications, exhibitions, and acquisitions. Recently, Museum Associates has helped fund the renovations of the Museum’s new galleries on the MU campus.

For 48 years, Museum Associates has helped bring art and art education resources to mid-Missourians and visitors through its support of MU’s Museum of Art and Archaeology. The Museum’s collections include over 16,000 objects ranging from ancient to contemporary, spanning 6,000 years of history and culture around the world. Admission is FREE to visit the Museum’s permanent or changing exhibitions. CoMoGives donations CANNOT be used toward membership in Museum Associates.

Situated on the lower level of Ellis Library, the Museum is once again located on the MU campus. CoMoGives donations to Museum Associates will help fund needs within the Museum galleries and exhibitions as it relates to displaying art and related educational programming. 

Museum Associates has, for decades, worked to support the Museum of Art and Archaeology, providing much needed funds for educational programming, publications, event sponsorship, and acquisition of art for the Museum’s permanent collection. Museum Associates’ partnership with the Museum ensures that residents, visitors, and scholars have access to an accredited art museum in central Missouri.
