Our MissION

Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Mid-Missouri provides essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. We give parents a home near the hospital for a hot meal and a good night’s sleep; children a place to play after a long day of appointments; and families relief from the financial and emotional burdens of traveling for their child’s medical care – at no cost to them.

Ronald McDonald Family Room®

• The Ronald McDonald Family Room provides families with essential rest and support while they remain near their hospitalized child.
• Located on the 7th floor in the MU Health Care Children’s Hospital, the Family Room is available to any family with a child 21 years and younger receiving treatment in the hospital.
• A kitchenette with food/snacks, laundry facility, shower and a comfortable area to watch TV are provided to families at no cost. Two overnight guest suites are available for the most critical patient families.

Lunch on the House

• Volunteers pack healthy sack lunches every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the Ronald McDonald House.
• Lunches are delivered to families with children in the NICU, PICU and Pediatric units at MU Health Care Children’s Hospital, Boone Hospital and the Thompson Center for Autism & Neurodevelopment. 
• In 2024, 7,950 free lunches were provided, and we're on track to serve 12,400 free lunches in 2025!
