OUR Mission

The VGF Foundation’s goal is to relieve some of the financial stress that can occur during cancer treatment by assisting with utility bills, rent or mortgage payments, medical expenses, or other needs indicated by the social worker.   Mid-Missouri residents undergoing cancer treatment may request up to $750 per year. To date, we have helped over 2,800 patients.

WHY WE'RE Great

We are an all volunteer organization that began in 2006. Since inception, we have dispersed over a million dollars to recipients needing assistance during cancer treatment. No other organization in Columbia provides this type of service. Dr. Gurucharri, a well known Columbia physician, died of a rare cancer in 2003. He believed that “people help people.” Please help us to continue his legacy.
