General

CoMoGives' primary goal is to facilitate year-end giving to many nonprofit organizations who choose to participate. These organizations are based in the 10-county area served by the Community Foundation of Central Missouri.

Donors can select one, two, ten, or more organizations and make a single donation with an easy credit card transaction at the secure www.comogives.com website December 1 - December 31, 2025.

The CoMoGives 2025 campaign runs from Monday, December 1st at 12:00 a.m. CT through Wednesday, December 31st at 11:59:59 p.m. CT.

Donors visit comogives.com and use the donate button at the top of the main website to browse for organizations by cause category or find a specific organization to make a gift. Donors can also connect to the site with a direct link sent to them by participating organizations via email or shared on social media. Donors looking to donate to a new organization or unsure who to select can also search by the causes they love most.

Donors for CoMoGives 2025 can give online beginning Monday, December 1st through Wednesday, December 31st at 11:59:59 p.m. CT.

CoMoGives is powered by The Community Foundation of Central Missouri, one of over 850 foundations in the United States, acting as a savings account host and grant maker for donors, nonprofit organizations, and communities in central Missouri. Click here to learn more.

Participation

Nonprofits in the 10-county area served by the Community Foundation of Central Missouri (CFCM) that meet annual IRS 501(c)(3) requirements are eligible to be part of the campaign.

Organizations that have participated in the recent past, along with organizations that have expressed their interest to CFCM, are invited to sign up each year, and many choose to do so. Other organizations reach out to CFCM about participation.

2025 is the thirteenth consecutive campaign!

  • Support your immediate operating needs: You'll receive online donations directly into your organization's bank account from the Mightycause Foundation.
  • Save on time and money: The Community Foundation of Central Missouri team has laid the building blocks for you! All your organization needs to do is sign up, set up your organization profile, and communicate about your participation.
  • Recruit and retain donors: CoMoGives prompts donors to give every December, with many either returning to donate and/or donating to an organization for the first time.
  • Raise awareness about your mission and expand your online presence: All participating nonprofits will be encouraging their donors to visit their CoMoGives page, driving new donor traffic to the site. This is a great opportunity to showcase your organization to a new audience!
  • Learn and deploy new fundraising and marketing strategies: Your staff and board will have access to free virtual trainings leading up to CoMoGives.
  • Engage your staff, board, and supporters in new ways: Setting up a match, becoming a peer-to-peer fundraiser, or collaborating with another participating organization to host a special event are just a few ways to get your supporters involved.

Profile and Platform

Once you're registered for CoMoGives 2025, accessing your organization dashboard only requires a few quick steps!

Here's how:

  1. Visit comogives.com and log in to your admin account via the 'Log In' option in top right-hand corner of the page.
  2. After you log in, click your name in the top right-hand corner of the page.
  3. Select your organization from the dropdown menu.
  4. Should be accessing your page as an organization admin!

You’ll know you’re on your organization’s page when you see a dashboard on the left-hand side of the screen.

This is likely because you have logged in at the wrong place. Organization admins should access their organization profile via comogives.com, not Mightycause.com. The comogives.com access point allows admins to access their organization's dashboard via the giving event connection which provides them with access to features that an organization not affiliated with a giving event would otherwise have to pay for.

Your organization's profile page is the center of your presence on CoMoGives.com. Your profile page should have basic information about your organization, such as your mission statement, contact information, and a gallery where you can upload photos or videos.

To begin editing your page, on the left-hand side dashboard, you'll want to head to "Organization Page." This section will have all of the administrative tools and features you need to customize your page.

This helpful support article provides key tips and best practices for making your organization's page as strong as possible.

Head to your organization page on CoMoGives.com. Once on your page, copy the URL link in your browser. Share this link with your supporters to bring them to your organization page. From there, supporters can read more about your organization, donate, or set up a peer-to-peer fundraising page. You can also embed a donation form directly onto your website. Yes. Once you’ve been approved as an administrator of your organization page, you can add and remove other admins as well as designate lead contacts. You can have up to 10 organization administrators on your organization’s page.

Yes! Just log into your CoMoGives account at comogives.com, go to your organization dashboard on the left-hand side, click “Fundraising Tools,” click “Campaigns,” find the name of the fundraiser you are trying to assist, click on the three dots, and click “Campaign Dashboard." From there, you'll see your fundraiser's profile and dashboard and can make changes as needed.

Mightycause’s database is regularly updated from the IRS database of 501(c)(3) public charities. If your organization’s status has changed, your pages may become unverified until the IRS re-lists your organization as approved or until you provide Mightycause recent documentation from the IRS confirming you are still an approved 501(c)(3) public charity.

To confirm your organization’s nonprofit status or request documentation, call the IRS (toll-free) at 1.877.829.5500.

Mightycause encourages all organizations to set up direct deposit, or electronic funds transfer (EFT), for your organization’s disbursements. If you haven't set up your EFT yet, please do so by following these steps here.

If you are an administrator for your nonprofit, you can view the disbursement report by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Select "[Organization Name]" from the user icon at the top-right of the page. Once you're logged in as an admin, you'll be able to view the dashboard on the left side of your organization page.
  3. From the dashboard, select "Reports" and then select "Disbursements."

EFT

Mightcause encourages all organizations to set up direct deposit, or EFT, for your organization’s disbursements. With EFT, you’ll receive your funds on a twice-monthly schedule.

For the EFT or direct deposit option, nonprofits can expect to receive their donations on the:

  • 25th of the month for donations made from the 1st through the 15th of that month.
  • 10th of the month for donations made from the 16th of the prior month through the last day of the prior month.

(Actual posting to your bank account will depend on your bank's schedule but is typically no more than 2-3 business days.)

Learn how to set up EFT here.

Check

If you prefer check disbursements, checks will be mailed around the 10th of the month for donations made in the previous month. There is a $5 service fee for each check, so we highly recommend signing up for EFT.

*When checks are not cashed within their 90-day grace period, they are automatically cancelled and reissued. Please note, the $5 service fee applies to reissued checks as well. There is no re-issuance fee for EFT.

Checks are mailed to the disbursement address listed in our database. This can be viewed in the "Settings" > "Organization" tabs on your dashboard. Scroll down to view the "Legal Name" and "Legal Address" sections.

To review your organization's donations report, head to the left-hand side of your organization's dashboard and select "Reports" > "Donations."

With Mightycause’s donation report, you’re able to view all the information associated with each donation to your organization on Mightycause. This report will include any and all donations your organization has received. Simply select the download icon to download your report.

Learn more about how to view your donation report here
