My Commitment to Windsor Street:

As the art teacher at Windsor Street, I don't just see students arriving to school; I witness children stepping into an extension of their own, beautiful home.

For these students, coming to school isn't a chore—it’s a natural, joyful chapter of their lives. I have the immense privilege of seeing their world unfold when I teach them artistic skills, and what I observe is nothing short of magical.

The bonds they form here are truly familial—children of different ages naturally collaborate, mentor, and care for one another. It mirrors the best parts of a loving family, creating a tight-knit community where every child feels seen and valued.

Watching them embrace the Montessori way—learning to do things for themselves, cultivating remarkable independence, and navigating the world with such confidence—is a daily astonishment. Every interaction, every moment of focused work, every lovingly made meal shared is a treasure. 

This special, unique environment is where their most authentic selves are painted onto the canvas of childhood.

And that is why  I'm Stepping Up This Year!
