Every year, hundreds of children in our community navigate our overwhelmed foster care system due to abuse and neglect. During their time in foster care—often over two years—many of these children face frequent moves and changes in caseworkers, leaving them without consistent, trusted adults in their lives.
This is where CASA volunteers make a life-changing difference. As caring, dedicated advocates, they provide stability and speak up for the best interests of children in foster care. For many children, their CASA volunteer is the one consistent adult presence during this challenging time, offering support and hope as they navigate an uncertain journey.
Right now, Heart of Missouri CASA is serving around 60% of the 650+ children in Boone and Callaway Counties in need of the support of a CASA volunteer. With your help, Heart of Missouri CASA can grow to serve every one of them.
