Operational Expenses at Youth Shelter

Flourish hired our first Executive Director, Beatrice Stewart, in 2023! This greatly increased our organization's capacity to effectively serve under-resourced youth and expand our supportive services. Beatrice is hoping to raise $2,000 to support costs of the transitional housing shelter!

Some examples of general, recurring expenses we have:

• $25: Hygiene products for 1 month for 1 youth, Uber rides to work/school, medical co-pays, snacks, cost of ID and birth certificate for 1 resident
• $50: Work shoes / uniform for 1 youth, prescription medications for 1 month for 1 youth, birthday present for a resident, new bedding
• $75: Welcome Basket for new residents, winter clothes, gas cards for resident transportation
• $100: Groceries for Sunday dinners for 10 residents
• $150: A fun monthly outing for the residents, 1 driving lesson
• $200: Uncovered medical, vision, and dental expenses for 1 resident
• $250: Wifi at shelter which allows for residents to apply for jobs / do homework, new mattress for shelter
• $500: Utility bills at shelter, birthday presents for the year for 10 residents
