My Name is Violet Vonder Haar and I am the Programs Director at Compass Inc....and the director of the Compass Folk Singers, Compass Acapella Choir, Sacred Songs in Sacred Spaces, co-director of the Compass IGRB choir, Camp Director for Lil Rock Stars Camp and Compass Music Camp, director for Compass Jam Nights, the Compass Songwriters Club, the Compass photographer, social media assistant, talent buyer for the Listening Room Concert Series, website developer, and so much more........You know, just a to name a few things....It is a labor of love, and there is so much love.
Compass is more than just a music school, it is a refuge, a safe space, a home away from home. Those of you who know me, know how much this place means to me. I have given countless hours to ensuring that it is a place where all feel welcome, and am constantly scheming on how to improve and expand our programming. ....And I'm asking for your help. If you have ever been moved by a performance, felt empowered in a music lesson, found joy in singing the choir or have been positive affected by our programming, I ask that you help support Compass by making a donation today.
Through the Music is for Everyone Scholarship Program, we are able to offer lessons at no cost to students who are unable to cover the cost. At the end of November, we unfortunately have had to put a hold on taking any new scholarship students. We currently have 4 students on the wait list, eagerly awaiting to be enrolled in lessons and until we are able to refill the coffers, we will not be able to schedule them for lessons.
Your CoMoGives donation helps to cover overall operating costs and it all helps to keep the lesson program running and successful. If we can't keep the lights on, we can't keep the lesson program running.
