Thank you our donors for helping us to make 2025 an excellent year! As promised, I matched all donations up to $200 and Walt's bike shop provided a generous third match!

If your car breaks down, could you walk or bike to work? Without fear of being hit by a car or robbed on the street? Did your Uber driver bail due to today’s snowfall? What about your friend with diabetes-related poor eyesight, who needs their prescription today? Can you drop anything in your schedule to help them?

Not being able to drive can have a surmountable impact on one's quality of life. America was built for automobiles, not pedestrians.  However, Local Motion has been working over the past decade to make a diverse college town like Columbia, Missouri a more walk-able place to people who cannot drive.

Please contribute to Local Motion, a non-profit which advocates for transportation equity -- having walk-able streets and reliable transportation. 

It's not only about being more environmentally friendly. Transportation equity directly impacts our community's most vulnerable: 

• people under-18
• elderly folks who can no longer drive
• the legally blind or mobility disabled
• international students without a US driver’s license
• your neighbor who secretly is drowning in debt and can't afford car repairs

Having walk-able streets give them a chance to have a much higher quality of life. Donate today!
