Local Motion supporters are moving Columbia forward!

Decades of auto-centric planning and policy decisions have made it too hard to get around American cities without a personal automobile, and Columbia is no exception. For those of us who don't drive or don't have access to a reliable vehicle, it can be extremely difficult to meet basic needs, enjoy a rich personal life, and participate in civic affairs. Non-drivers—especially children, older adults, people with disabilities, and people who live in low-income households—experience a variety of transportation barriers and face serious safety risks on Columbia's streets. 

For 25 years, Local Motion supporters have fought for a smarter transportation system. We have a long way to go, but Columbia has great potential to become a leader in transportation equity. Your end-of-year donation ensures that the work continues for another 25 years.

Local Motion provides walking, biking, and transit solutions to meet people’s everyday transportation needs in Columbia, Missouri. We envision a town built for people, where it’s easy to walk, bike, and ride transit, and where everyone can get where they want to go.
