MRBO delivers more than 150 education and outreach programs each year, reaching on average 8,000 people annually across Missouri and beyond. From inspiring urban kids on bird hikes in Kansas City to partnering with rural Title I schools in the Central Missouri corridor, MRBO is helping everyone see themselves as part of the natural world. Summer camps at Arrow Rock immerses young learners in prairie adventures, foraging, bird-watching and hands-on ecology, while the Bird-friendly Communities initiative engages households and municipalities in making real habitat improvements to stem bird declines.

With your support, MRBO can expand this work—reaching more classrooms, empowering more young people as stewards, and amplifying citizen science efforts across urban and rural Missouri. Our work deepens the connection between people and place, and help ensure that birds, communities and our natural heritage all thrive.
